A to the T

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

The new Atmosphere is growing on me. It’s all dark and dreary. Seems like he’s really progressing as an artist. I like.

The coffee shop where I do internet in Mammoth is closing as i type this… so all i can say is that i’m feeling it more and more with every listen.

Here’s two more tracks i’m feeling.

Atmosphere ‘Dreamer’

Atmosphere ‘Puppets’

Atmosphere

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

I always wish for a ‘God Loves Ugly’ round 2 when Atmosphere releases a new album. Yet I fully know this isn’t possible. Change, especially for artists is inevitable. So why, do i always wish for the past. And it’s only Atmosphere that I hope this for… I don’t understand.

Regardless, new Atmosphere. I like. The track “you’ almost sounds like a radio hit… weird. Maybe i haven’t been listening to the radio much in the past couple years, I don’t think I’m a good judge anymore. But that bass line sounds dangerously like a mainstream crossover attempt.

Atmosphere ‘In Her Music Box’

Atmosphere ‘You’

Atmosphere ‘The Waitress’

I’ve posted about James Nachtwey before… My friend Johnny sent me this mini film on him and his work. Worth a look.

Stoppard

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us,
with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke,
and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

-Tom Stoppard
