Vancouver Island

Monday, July 30th, 2007

I went to Vancouver Island. We tried to camp in Tofino but there was no room. The cops tried to tow the car and steal our tent at 11:15 Pm. Thanks. That would have been really great. For a communist country you would think Canada would care a bit more about our people.

I got a new camera. Stoked. So no more Alec Sloth blog biting for Nate.

bite |b?t| verb ( past bit |bit|; past part. bitten |?bitn|) [ intrans. ] 1 (of a person or animal) use the teeth to cut into something in order to eat it : Rosa bit into a cupcake | [ trans. ] he bit a mouthful from the sandwich. • [ trans. ] (of an animal or a person) use the teeth in order to inflict injury on : she had bitten, scratched, and kicked her assailant. • [ trans. ] (of a snake, insect, or arachnid) wound with a sting, pincers, or fangs : getting bitten by mosquitoes. • ( bite at) (of an animal) snap at; attempt to bite : it is not unusual for this dog to bite at its owner’s hand. • (of an acid) corrode a surface : chemicals have bitten deep into the stone. • (of a fish) take the bait or lure on the end of a fishing line into the mouth. • figurative (of a person) be persuaded to accept a deal or offer : a hundred or so retailers should bite.

ferry2tofino

Vancouver island is the reason there’s no surfing in Vancouver. Shame on Vancouver Island. It’s still a super rad place to go camping and get away from it all. This is from the ferry ride to the Island

driveview

For some reason i like shitty dashboard view photos.

shaneview2

Night in Tofino. We couldn’t find a campsite and we slept on my buddies lawn. The cops tried to kick us out. I guess the cops patrol private property in Tofino.Kinda wierd. Orwellian shit to me.

shanetofinoview

The view about 1 hour before the cops came.

spenjandfire

As well as shitty dashboard photos I like average fire photos. I don’t know why, guilty pleasure. So here’s one.

ukieboat

Because we couldn’t stay in Tofino we camped in a place called Ucluelet. It was still rad. When do things go as you planned them anyway. Ucluelet-boat leaving harbour.

ukie

More of Ukie.

New Pumpkins

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Although it’s without Melissa Auf der Maur or James Iha it’s still the Pumpkins. And I’m still stoked.

And Conquest off the new White Stripes album is some of the best shit out there.

Today

Friday, July 20th, 2007

My camera’s still broken. Just regurgitating shit off the web that i find interesting.

A shot that makes we think about friendship and freedom, and one that makes me think about money and politics.
